Crowning the drum of the dome, among others, is this stained glass window depicting the martyrdom of the priest Saint Rodrigo. The saint is shown kneeling moments before being decapitated, with his imploring gaze directed toward the heavens. His executioner positions the sword at his neck, with a schematic view of the city behind them and a ray of Glory breaking through from the heavens, from which an angel descends with the palm of martyrdom and the victorious crown.
