15. Stained Glass Window of the Martyrdom of Saints Acisclo and Victoria
Beneath the dome, on the side of the Gospel, an interesting stained glass window depicts the martyrdom of Saints Acisclo and Victoria. In the foreground, Victoria kneels in a praying position. Behind her, her brother Acisclo, also kneeling, dressed in Roman attire – from the time he suffered – with his arms open in an attitude of total surrender to God, and next to him, his executioner, holding the sword with which he would decapitate him.
