Sculpture by Juan Manuel Miñarro. 21st century. Titular of the University Brotherhood of Cordoba. The work, unique in the world, faithfully reproduces the data obtained from the study of the Shroud of Turin. It represents in all its rawness the appearance of a deceased person shortly after dying by crucifixion, with a swollen belly due to asphyxiation during this torment and blood coagulated by the lashes on his body, the nails piercing his limbs, and the torture of the crown of thorns on his head. The image radiates suffering, a consequence of the fierce torture Christ endured since his arrest. The face, however, reflects majesty and peace when "it is all accomplished."
