On one of the temple's pillars, next to the rotunda on the Epistle side, there is an urn that houses a small image of the Virgin, known as Our Lady of the Well. On August 5, 1685, while cleaning one of the wells in the house where Roelas lived – very close to where the urn is now – this small image of the Virgin was found. It was received with great joy and quickly placed at the feet of the image of Saint Raphael, where it received worship until 1737 when it was placed in the urn that still shelters it today. Every August 5th, the Brotherhood of Saint Raphael dedicates a mass to her, being very dear to its members.
