31. Urn with the apparition of San Rafael to Father Roelas
Above the magnificent chest of drawers in the sacristy, there is a medium-sized urn made of carved and gilded wood. With three of its sides glazed, it houses an excellent sculptural representation of the apparition of San Rafael to Father Roelas. The work, with a marked upward sense, shows Father Roelas kneeling and praying his daily prayers. Above him, San Rafael, in flight, bringing his hand to his chest, swearing to be the Guardian of Córdoba, as evidenced by the cartouche held by an angel with the words of the Oath. The entire piece is supported by a large wooden bracket attached to the wall. Donated by Francisco de Golmayo, Brother Major of San Rafael, around 1848.
