In the 1960s, a congregation called the Knights of San Rodrigo was established in the temple of Juramento, where men with that name gathered to seek the intercession and protection of the saint. The work was carried out by sculptor Juan Martínez Cerrillo following the model painted by Murillo of the Cordoban martyr. Saint Rodrigo stands, dressed in priestly garments: alb, maniple, and chasuble, highlighting the representations of the Virgin, Saint Luke, and Saint John, all made using the guadamecí technique.
